What actually happens
when your phone rings

No mystery, no black box. Here is the whole path a call takes, from the first ring to the report on your phone, and where you stay in control at every point.

STEP 1

Your phone rings first. Always.

Argus runs on conditional call forwarding, a rule that lives in your carrier's network. Your phone itself stays untouched. It only sends a call to Argus when you're busy, you don't pick up, or it's the hours you chose. During the day your office answers like it always has and Argus never hears a thing.

You flip the rule on with one dial code and off with another. We show you the off switch before anything else in setup. Your number never changes hands and there is nothing to install.

You control: when Argus answers (after-hours only, overflow only, or 24/7) and the off switch, from your own phone, in about 30 seconds.
STEP 2

We answer in seconds, every time

No hold music or phone tree, no "your call is important to us." Argus picks up fast with your company's name, at 2 p.m. and at 2 a.m., on Christmas and during the July heat wave when every line in town is slammed.

Callers hear a calm, competent receptionist that says it's an AI if asked, instead of the voicemail greeting where most of them used to hang up and dial your competitor.

You see: every answered call in your daily report, including the ones that used to vanish into voicemail at night.
STEP 3

We qualify the call like your best dispatcher

First: safety. Gas smell, sparks, flooding, extreme temperatures with elderly residents or infants in the home. Genuine hazards are told to call 911 first, every time, before anything else happens.

Then: the business questions. Emergency or routine? Real job or price shopper? Argus checks the caller's address against your actual service area map and captures name, callback number, address, and the issue, reading each detail back to confirm it's right.

You see: a structured intake on every call: who, where, what's broken, how urgent. Out-of-area calls are logged too, so you can see where demand is coming from.
STEP 4

Routine work gets booked before your office opens

For everyday jobs, Argus collects a preferred day and time window, asks about access details, and offers text updates. The caller hangs up feeling handled, because they were.

Your office opens the next morning to jobs sitting on the board with complete details, instead of a voicemail box full of half-messages and hang-ups to chase down.

You see: the requested window and full intake in your morning summary, ready to confirm with one callback.
STEP 5

Emergencies wake a human, and won't take silence for an answer

A real emergency triggers an immediate phone call to your on-call tech, who confirms with one keypress. If they don't pick up, Argus retries. Still nothing? It calls your backup. Then you. It keeps escalating until a real person has pressed 1 and owned the job.

Voicemail can't swallow an alert: Argus detects answering machines and moves down the ladder instead of leaving a message and hoping. If the whole chain goes unacknowledged, you get flagged every way we can reach you, and it lands in the daily report so nothing silently disappears.

You see: who was called, who confirmed, and when, on every single escalation.
STEP 6

The paper trail is automatic

The moment a call ends, the intake is texted to you. Every call is recorded and summarized. Daily reports show calls answered, leads captured, and emergencies dispatched, and your monthly report puts a number on what the phone line earned.

During your pilot we review the recordings with you weekly, so you can hear exactly how your callers are treated and tighten anything you want said differently.

You see: everything. That's the point.

Setup is a 20-minute phone call

You tell us your service area, your on-call rotation, and how you want calls handled. We configure your dedicated line, test it with you live, and hand you the on/off codes before we hang up. You're usually live within two business days, anywhere in the country.

What you get with every plan

Instant intake texts

The full intake hits your phone the moment each call ends. Misdials and spam are filtered out so you're never texted noise.

Recordings of every call

Every call recorded and kept. Dispute a detail, replay the call. Train a new office hire on real examples from your own line.

Daily and monthly reports

Calls answered, leads captured, emergencies dispatched, and what it all earned. The monthly report is written to be read in two minutes.

Your coverage map, enforced

Argus checks addresses against your real service area, so your techs stop driving to jobs you never should have taken.

The off switch, always

One dial code returns your line to exactly how it was. No call to us needed, no waiting, works at 3 a.m. It's your number.

A team that reviews escalations

Every emergency escalation is reviewed by our team. If something should have been handled differently, we fix it and tell you.
